Ok imagine the scene, you're on vacation and during your break you're surfing the net when you see this hot item on Amazon or Ebay for a mammoth 20% discount but you immediately realize that you would not be staying in the same hotel for the next few days, so you wonder how you can order an item and pick it up when you don't even have a permanent address?
Well now you don't have to wonder anymore because with services such as mailboxes ETC the world has become a better place. You can now order an item and pick it up at one of their offices.
Yes it's really that simple! And if you live in Europe or any other surrounding country you can have access to "pack stations" which is basically just an automated way of doing the same thing that mailboxes ETC does. Think of it as an ATM machine for parcels - which is expecially true in Germany which has one of the best pack stations in Europe where all you have to do is register with Deutsche Post and get a gold card with which you can use the adress of the PackStation and then when your item arrives at the ATM like station all you have to do is put in the card and open your locker and withdraw the items.
Now most people would suggest that you rent a P.O or mailbox but frankly this method is much easier because it has lower fees as opposed to a monthly subscription for for renting a mailbox which can set you back around at least 20 euros a month. However the amount varies in mailbox EDC depending on how popular the city is (how many parcels are stored and what storage space is available) but it would only cost you at most around 10 euros with average prices of 5 euros the norm.
So I recommend you give it a try since there are available in several locations within a country and in most major cities there are around 5 to 10 offices. It's really convenient and cost-effective as well especially if you're on a tight budget.
