AWAL looked pretty complicated at first later on the 300+ stores including spotify itunes amazon etc... and its basically free! so it sold me out. Its really a great place for artists to distribute their music especially growing ones. The form filling itself was pretty easy after I read the whole thing and it sure is one of a kind, especially because most of these companies are located in US but AWAL is found in UK, I also found a Spanish one.
They do all the promoting it seems because for them to earn a profit our music must sell because 15% royalties goes out to them. Its a pretty good deal either way. After the sign up we've to submit a catalogue or a.link to where they can find our music, so I guess not all artists make the cut. Its a pretty neat place overall with trust ranked highest. I couldve easily chosen routenote but there have been several complaints regarding huge money losses besides routenote and AWAL pretty much cut the same amount 15%. But as I found out after signing up routenote is pretty sloppy especially when it comes to uploading the files. They use basic Html with no uploader % been shown unless you use chrome.
The AWAL agreement itself is pretty cool but its valid for 30 days. Yup so there you go, I personally recommend AWAL as a good music distribution service for artists.
