Welcome to chapter one, I usually find something to write whenever Im travelling or bored to death and now happens to be just one of those times. Our first album 'Swag Loading 100%' is well and truly on its way.
I ve produced 19 of the 21 tracks so far and just yesterday received the vocal tracks from my homie The Chrome. its been a while because he lives in a different country yet we're part of the same band, sometimes I wonder if we could even call ourselves a band, more like duo, yup much better. Well fact is he was really busy in the past few months working on a project of his and it ends this November.
To be precise my first thought of our album came somewhere this May or June when I started work on our lead single Swagboard Skateboarding, I had exams back then therefore the project was open for such a long time and will be close somewhere around tomorrow or day after.
Its been a long time coming though, the first recorded vocals were in May and the final one is gonna be nearly 4 months later. Since then I have added so many tracks and the originally 10 track album turned to 16 then 20 and finally 21.
I usually forsee events so far into the future for example yestersay I even started work on my second album which is due sometime around next year! But all the planning pays off because everything is really organised that way.
Just yesterday I finished off the track First Love 2 hours after recording the vocals for the track. The fastest I ever did was 2 whole tracks in one day!!!
Im hoping our album sales hit at least 300 $ minimum because thats the least amount I can work with for there to be a better album next year. To be exact I need a hell lotto equipment like for example - Studio Microphone, Audio Interface, new recording software and a better producer!! Haha just kidding in the last one
Id be really thrilled if the album sales hit somewhere like $1000 thatd be so awsome. Then I can be happy that all the hard work really paid off and also provide much needed motivation for the next album!
To take you through the mindset of producing an album, well mine actually, it was really mixed because there was such a long period of time. There were times where I felt really high and times where I hit record lows, it was crazy all the same. There were even times where I was really anxious for god knows what reasons!
Lately ive been finding it really difficult to pen down lyrics for a song. Its like ive got nothing left to write about anymore, looking back there were certain stages where I had a lot to write about for example the breakup blues, being hungover one girl etc..
To be frank, when I was about 14 I had no self image whatspever but then at 15 something happened and I changed so much that people who went to class with me in my early years and left early couldnt even recognise me because I had changed so much. Then somehow the thought that the good looking hot people gets everything got stuck in my head and I personally wanted to be one in that category maybe it was too much Tv or whatever but that sort of became my motto and therefore I worked really hard at buliding my own self image, abs, biceps, hair etc.. but there are certain times where the least good looking people make the biggest events take place or touches your heart in such a way that it is truly humbling to be around them!
If you ever wondered why this blog is named Septembers Swag Story, its really simple though..My birthday's on September 1st. There you go, end of the first chapter!
